Paid internship for Data Collection and Validation in GAME Tunisia

Who is GAME?

At GAME, we love asphalt — as a playground, as a meeting place, and as the foundation for creating social change. GAME is one of the fastest-growing NGOs, recently recognized as number #105 globally, and currently operating in 10 countries. We focus on youth empowerment and creating lasting social change through street sports and culture. GAME is one of four organizations — alongside Plan International, MS ActionAid, and the Danish Refugee Council — leading the DAPP YIEP Ready for Tomorrow project in Tunisia.

Youth Inclusion and Employment Project – Ready for Tomorrow

The goal of the Ready for Tomorrow project is to enhance the employability and entrepreneurial engagement of young women and men aged 18–35. It aims to inspire and include young people in economic life by supporting entrepreneurs through the development of life skills and integration into relevant business ecosystems. This support enables them to establish themselves and earn a living by bringing their ideas to life.

Additionally, job seekers will acquire the technical skills needed for the labor market, and the project will support youth in making informed decisions about entrepreneurship or starting their own businesses, as well as in developing future skills to improve their wage employment opportunities.

Objectives
The primary objective of this intership is to:

• Conduct in-depth phone survey interviews with youth who have benefited from Ready for Tomorrow interventions.

• Collect accurate and comprehensive data on youth employment and business activity status using the project’s M&E tools.

• Validate collected data to ensure its reliability and relevance for project purposes.

Scope of Work

1) Data Collection & Validation

• Conduct phone-based survey interviews with project beneficiaries to collect both qualitative and quantitative data, following a predefined questionnaire — the DAPP Employment Survey.

• Verify and validate beneficiary and startup data in coordination with partner focal points.

• Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of data using agreed templates and tools.

2) Support Data Analysis

• Collaborate closely with the DAPP Youth Employment Expert (YEE) to analyze feedback and responses, identify project results and impact, determine success factors, and highlight gaps related to youth employability and startup performance.

3) Follow-Up and Monitoring

• Follow up with youth-led startups and supported businesses to assess the implementation status, progress, and challenges of their business models.

• Track outcome indicators related to business survival, job creation, or income generation where applicable.

4) Reporting

• Submit weekly progress updates to the YEE.

• Support the preparation of summaries and visualizations (charts/tables) for internal reports and presentations.

5) Capacity Building & Orientation

• Participate in a one-day induction training covering the project background, results framework, data quality principles, and ethical interviewing.

• Engage continuously in learning and feedback sessions with the project team to improve data reliability and analytical skills.

The interns will report directly to the GAME Regional Youth Employment Expert (YEE). Regular check-ins will be scheduled to monitor progress and address any challenges related to the project or MEAL tools and tasks.
